My head spins when I meet new people. I am so aware of what I’m doing and what I’m saying and how they’re reacting…it’s exhausting. So now, I have to take a couple minutes to relax in the privacy (I have two roommates) of my tiny hotel room before entering our homestay on Thursday.

I am loving Moroccan culture and immersing myself within. Meeting locals is my favorite thing to do and I can’t wait to start living with a host family. It’s hard being an American here, but I’m sure it’s harder being an American in America right now.
