I'm Mary,

I'm a storyteller who likes to have my hands in everything. I've worked professionally as a photographer, videographer and audio journalist for the past five years. So much diversity in my work allows my storytelling to stay creative and adaptable.

I'm currently working on an independent podcast called Parks, an audio documentary on the history of Indigenous land theft and colonization in U.S. National Parks.

I'm also working as a producer and fact-checker on shows like American Prodigy and Spinsters at Blue Wire Studios, and as a reporter and producer on stories about Indigenous public health at American Diagnosis in partnership with Kaiser Health News.

I freelance around Chicago for The Washington Post, The New York Times, and many more. In the past, I was a photo editor at Outside Magazine and NPR, and I worked as a videographer and producer for MPR: The Current.

I'm obsessed with trees, rock climbing and reading history. If you want to work together, feel free to contact me! / 3192708907
